We are very proud to report today about the largest ship loading arm that SVT has ever designed and built:
After a year of planning, design and production, it is finally done:
The “monster”, as the loading arm is affectionately called at SVT, is 28 meters high and weighs 57 tons. In this video the SVT team prepares the loading arm for the final test phase on the SVT test site.
When the loading arm will later be fully assembled at its destination with counterweight, triple swivel assembly and platform, its weight will reach almost 80 tons.
He will need this stability in his new destination since he will have to withstand temperatures as low as -52 ° Celsius, heavy waves, storms and salt water.
